Before sending an application form, please check level of English. WE DO NOT HAVE CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS.

For non-visa students, enrolment documents will be sent by email or fax only. We will not send originals by post unless specifically requested.
If you need original documents to be sent by courier mail, there is a charge of £30 which will be added to your invoice. You must arrange for collection of these documents.
Students must start their course on a Monday. They must take a placement test – written and oral – on the first Monday of their course. If students arrive in London midweek, they cannot start their course until the next Monday. Students at Hastings CANNOT arrive midweek as we cannot accommodate them until Saturday.
Please give us 2 weeks’ notice to arrange accommodation, especially in the summer when there is a very high demand. It is very difficult to find accommodation at the last minute, especially for students with special requirements.
Please remember, your first choice of accommodation may not always be available. Please give us a 2nd and 3rd choice in case the 1st choice is not available.
Please do not ask us about accommodation availability before sending your application form. We cannot do this. It causes problems for the school, accommodation provider, student and agent if we advise you that a room is available when you ask. We cannot book the room for you at that point and when you send the application form, the room may no longer be available. Generally if you have a last minute booking, especially in summer, it is much easier to find a standard host family than other accommodation so please be aware of this if a student wants to make a last minute booking. We CANNOT book accommodation on a Thursday for a student arriving the following Saturday!! We do not have enough time to find a room. PLEASE do not ask us to do this.
It is generally not a problem to book a last minute course without accommodation, but again, please remember school staff are very busy on Thursdays and Fridays arranging transfers and dealing with student problems. They will not be able to process applications and send documents immediately.
Our London school is for adults only. We cannot enrol minors on courses at this school. We may occasionally accept a 17 year old if they are nearly 18 and their parents sign parental consent forms. Please contact school admissions staff for further advice.
Visa – Dependent Students:
Unless you state otherwise, we will assume all students outside the EU need a visa to study in the UK.
Please be realistic about course start dates. It can take up to 3 months for a student to receive their visa.
Please keep Shane Global updated of the visa process. Please let us know AS SOON AS the student receives their visa, or tell us AS SOON AS a visa is denied. If the start date is likely to change due to visa processing, please advise us AT LEAST 1 WEEKS BEFORE THE START DATE THE STUDENT ORIGINALLY BOOKED.
REMEMBER: WE NEED 1 WEEK MINIMUM TO ARRANGE A HOMESTAY. If you advise us midweek that a student has received their visa, we WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE THEM IN ACCOMMODATION FOR THAT WEEKEND.
If a student changes their course dates more than once, we will charge another £50 enrolment fee for each course change they make.
Homestays run from weekend to weekend. It is very difficult to arrange homestay arrivals during the week in London. The Hastings school CANNOT arrange homestay arrival midweek. Hastings homestays run weekend to weekend only.
Remember, we do not work on Saturday and Sunday, therefore any urgent messages will not be responded to until return to work on Monday. All relevant information must be received by us by midday Friday. For emergencies only, please call:

Any airport transfers need to be booked at the latest THURSDAY before their arrival date so that we can book the taxi. We need FULL FLIGHT DETAILS:

Any transfer cancellations must be received before midday Friday before arrival. Otherwise the taxi will be confirmed and you will have to pay the transfer fee.
If a student cancels a course either before or after the start date, you must pay the £50 registration fee and the £50 accommodation placement fee (if applicable) as per our cancellation terms and conditions. Agents are not exempt from this fee and it is you responsibility to collect deposit money from the student to cover cancellation costs. If an agent does not pay cancellation fee, we cannot allow other students booked by you to start their course until we receive the cancellation fee.
